Last week I attended mediation training hosted by the San Diego Restorative Mediation Program.  The goal of SDRJMP is to bring reconciliation to both offenders and victims of crime.  Mediation is a successful way to allow the victim to heal and offender to re-connect with the community.   In San Diego it is most often used when the defendant is a juvenile but can work whether the offense is a misdemeanor or felony.  Theft and vandalism offenses are well-suited for mediation.   Click here for more information.
