According to this CNN report a 14 year old Mendota, California boy has been charged in the murder of his 4 year old neighbor.  The teenager faces several other felony charges including kidnapping, murder during a child molestation and murder of a witness to prevent testimony.  Claiming to have drowned the toddler, the teen then reportedly concealed the body in a clothes dryer.  The child had been reported missing on Friday afternoon and after a search involving local police and FBI; was found on Saturday in a neighboring apartment.  

Under California law, if found guilty, the teenager will not be eligible for the death penalty but could receive a maximum sentence of no more than 32 years to life plus 15 years in prison.
