Doctor May Lose Licenses To Practice
Dr. Conrad Murray, the man accused of being responsible for the death of pop star Michael Jackson, has lost his license to practice in California.  On January 11, Superior Court Judge, Michael Pastor, suspended Dr. Murray's California medical license.

Dr. Murray is also licensed to practice medicine in Nevada and Texas.  While spokespeople for medical boards in both states claim that they are monitoring this situation, neither state has moved to suspend these licenses.  One suspected reason that neither Texas, nor Nevada medical boards have taken action, is that Dr. Murray's California license was suspended as a condition of bail set by a judge as opposed to the result of an investigation.

Murray's civil attorney is concerned that by taking away his right to practice, and subsequently earn a living, the state of California is ensuring the doctor will not have the ability to pay for his legal defense.  Murray's lawyers are considering appealing the suspension.
