Jury Acquits Medicinal Marijuana Seller
Medicinal Marijuana has been legal in California for 14 years. The law provides for patients to produce and sell the drug as long as they are not doing so for profit. That did not stop police from arresting Eugen Davidovich for providing it last February, however. Davidovich faced four felony charges but was recently acquitted on all counts by a San Diego jury. A surveillance tape shows Davidovich selling marijuana to an undercover police officer only after being shown a medical marijuana permit. Davidovich claims to carefully abide by state law while providing marijuana to those who need it medically, citing that there are many suffering needlessly in San Diego.
