0 Comments | Add Comment Mark Kerrigan Faces Manslaughter Charges
The brother of famed figure skater Nancy Kerrigan has been charged with manslaughter in the death of their father Daniel Kerrigan. Mark Kerrigan was indicted in January when his 70-year old father died after an argument between the two men escalated into a violent fight. He had been charged with assault and battery on an elderly person resulting in serious bodily injury. Prosecutors have called the incident a "drunken rage during a trivial argument over use of the family telephone.", while the Kerrigan family remains committed to holding Mark blameless in Daniel's death. Nancy Kerrigan has stated in a letter that she and her family plan to help her brother fight, and called the homicide ruling "unjustified".
